Content objective: SWBAT use arithmetic operators and functions; and use scratch to convert temperature from degrees F to degrees C (and vice-versa.)

Content objective: SWBAT use the [KEY ( ) PRESSED] and blocks
Language Objective: Explain how today’s laptop touchpad is similar to, and different from, a mouse.
Do now:  Build the code to control a helicopter sprite, p.89-90.  This is the base code that we’ll modify today.

Questions
1. What kind of apps/computer programs need to know when a key is pressed? (3 examples)

2. What is a scroll wheel? How would we detect the use of a scroll wheel in SCRATCH?
